The Faculty of Environmental Engineering held in the past days the third Environmental Week in the municipality of Villa de Leyva; There, training workshops on environmental culture were held, where students from the main schools of the municipality participated, and the planting of 1000 trees of native species in the hills near the town was carried out.

The Faculty of Environmental Engineering successfully completed the third Environmental Photography Contest in the Flora-Fungi and Fauna categories. The call gathered around 240 photographic works that were published by people from all over the country; this exercise allowed the Fan Page of the Faculty to have an interaction with an average of 40000 people. With this activity, the care of the environment was promoted based on their knowledge and the promotion of the Faculty through social networks.
Last June 13, the Occupational Health and Safety Coordination and the Health and Human Development Area of the Department of University Promotion and Welfare of the USTA Tunja held a training session for the management of External Automatic Defibrillators- DEA- directed to the medical staff, group of nurses, security guards, teachers and administrators who are part of the Emergency Brigade of our institution.
