The 29 August day of 2018 between the 2: 00 pm and the 6: 00 pm the Faculty of Civil Engineering made with great success the first 2018 STRUCTURES UPDATE SEMINAR. Event that took place with a total number of students, graduates and teachers in the Greater San Alberto Magno Auditorium of the Santo Tomás University section of Tunja. The opening ceremony was in charge of the Dean of the Faculty Engineer Carlos Andrés Caro Camargo Ph D Civil Engineering and the presentation of different presentations by the Engineers Miguel Ignacio Forero Pinilla with his presentation "Passive protection against fire - NSR10", the Engineer Andrés Alberto Bonilla Roa with his presentation: "Fiberglass: complement in the structural reinforcement of concrete", the engineer Wilson Alfredo Medina Sierra with his paper: SAT: Non-structural elements in buildings and finally the Engineer José Manuel Rojas Calderón with his presentation: Engineering and fiscal control, case Aguablanca bridge in the Municipality of Otanche - Boyacá.
Next November, USTA Colombia will receive a team appointed by the International Institute for Quality Assurance (IAC) with recognized experience in the different university functions, for the realization of the external evaluation that brings us closer to the challenge we have taken on starting from the Institutional Vision 2027, the International Institutional Accreditation.
