The next 9 of July of 2019, the Dominican friars, guardians of the Shrine, will be celebrating one of the most important ephemerides for Colombians, the first centenary of the coronation of the Virgin of the Rosary as queen and mother in our country. For this occasion, the Province of San Luis Bertrán of Colombia, headed by Fray Said León Amaya, OP, Prior Provincial, had a broad cultural and religious agenda, highlighting "the year of preparation" for this party.
This programming was made known during a press conference that took place in Chiquinquirá and to which the media of the region were invited with the aim of "letting the message of peace reach every corner of the country" as he stated Fray Nelson Novoa, OP, Prior of the National Marian Convent.
Santo Tomás University will be linked to this celebration through spaces for victims of the armed conflict, where their realities will be heard and which will be provided by the Centers of Studies for La Paz.
